(C#0) Women’s Beginning Handgun Safety Class
$95 per student

Many families have guns in the home but some women have little experience with them. They want information but don’t know who or what to ask about how to handle firearms safely. This is a hands-on safety class where you’ll learn in a fun and supportive atmosphere. If you want solid knowledge of firearm handling this is the class for you.

In this class you’ll learn how to handle guns safely, how to load and unload them safely and how to shoot accurately. You’ll learn about laws of gun ownership and make an informed decision if you want to explore more about handling or purchasing firearms. Seating is limited to ensure you get detailed and hands-on instruction.

Subjects Covered:

  • Safe Gun Handling – safely handle a pistol, load and unload safely.
  • Safe storage in the home.
  • Marksmanship – How to hold a pistol, align the sights, and press the trigger
  • Different types of handguns
  • Ownership and possession of handguns
  • Overview of how to clean a handgun
  • Information on transportation of handguns and Concealed Carry Permits


  • Prerequisites:

    Minimum age: 18 yrs old.

    Required Equipment:

    All equipment is provided. Please wear long sleeves, closed toe shoes, high collared shirt, baseball hat, weather appropriate clothing. Optional: Bring a sack lunch and water.

    Women's Handgun Fundamentals 1
    $125 per student

    You’ve taken our Women’s Beginning Handgun Safety Class (C#0 or equivalent) and you bought a gun. Now what? This is a 4-hour course of what to do next. This is a fun supportive class and the next step on your way to better gun handling.

    Subjects Covered:

  • Review handgun safety, loading and unloading
  • Fundamentals of marksmanship
  • Draw your gun from your holster and re-holster
  • Clearing malfunctions
  • Ready positions
  • Grip
  • Stance
  • Finer details of trigger press
  • New options in women's holsters

    Prerequisites:

    Graduate of Women’s Beginning Handgun Safety (C#1) or equivalent. *Minimum age: 18

    Required Equipment:

    Semi-automatic pistol and 2 magazines, 250 rounds of factory new full metal jacket (FMJ) brass cased ammunition. No reloads please. Hearing protection, eye protection (even if you wear glasses), belt holster and magazine pouch for your type of gun (a Blade-Tech or Kydex outside the waistband holster is good), brimmed hat, high necked shirt, closed toe shoes, weather appropriate clothing, sack lunch and water.

    PLEASE NOTE: We cannot allow pregnant or nursing mothers to take these classes. Anyone with a felony conviction cannot, by law, take these classes. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Women's Handgun Fundamentals 2
    $125 per student

    You’re ready to take your handgun skills to the next level. This 4 hour class is a fun supportive course with maximum range time. We will work on accuracy and speed, moving and shooting, shooting from behind cover, shooting moving targets, shooting under stress, and fine tune your techniques.

    Prerequisites:
  • Graduate of Women’s Fundamental Handgun or equivalent.
  • *Minimum age: 18

    Required Equipment:

    Semi-automatic pistol and minimum 3 magazines, minimum 250 rounds of full metal jacket (FMJ) brass cased ammunition, hearing protection, eye protection (even if you wear glasses), belt holster, magazine pouch for your type of gun (a Blade-Tech or Kydex outside the waistband holster is good), brimmed hat, high necked shirt, closed toe shoes, weather appropriate clothing, sack lunch and water.
